Great Falls Explorers Announce Dance Team Coordinator/Choreographer

Great Falls, MT – July 27, 2006 – The Great Falls Explorers of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) has named Becky Acra as their Dance Team Coordinator/Choreographer.  Acra, the wife of Explorers’ new Assistant General Manager Ryan Acra, is the current cheerleading coach at University of Great Falls.  Having taught dance to CMR High School students in Great Falls, she also owns RAH Cheerleading and Dance which offers individual and group lessons to dancers ages 6 and up.

“Becky Acra is a proven dance and cheerleading instructor who will help us recruit and develop a very talented dance team for the Great Falls Explorers,” said Joe Clark, CEO and Managing Partner for Apex Sportstainment, LLC, the holding company for four CBA clubs, including the Great Falls Explorers.  Clark also serves as General Manager for all four franchises.  “The dance team is an important component of the overall entertainment that the fans would experience at the games, and we look forward to seeing not only quality basketball, but fun and entertaining dancers motivate the crowd,” stated Clark.

“I’m thrilled to be named as the Dance Team Coordinator and Choreographer for the Great Falls Explorers,” said Acra.  “This is a great opportunity for the local talented dancers to showcase their talents and also be involved with the local schools, charities, and community organizations.  We look forward to establishing a great dance team and serve not only as dancers, but as ambassadors to the Great Falls community.”

While attending the University of Arizona, Acra served as a member of the University’s Cat Crew hip-hop team.  She also held positions as head varsity coach and head choreographer at several high schools in Tucson, Arizona and Palm Desert, California.  She also received professional training in Los Angeles from Hollywood choreographers Wade Robson and Michael Montoya, and also interned as a production assistant for The Ellen Degeneres Show.
